
Groningen, Netherlands – April 8, 2025 — The DarkMatter Project held its third in-person consortium meeting in Groningen, hosted by UMCG / UMCG Research. The Horizon Europe-funded team spent the day sharing progress updates and exploring key topics like immune signatures, antibody technologies, cohort alignment, and BCR/TCR sequencing.
Máté Manczinger, leader of the Systems Immunology Research Group, also took part in the meeting, contributing to the collaborative discussions and scientific exchange.
A team-building session encouraged members to share recent scientific inspirations, sparking lively conversations and strengthening connections across the consortium. The day wrapped up with a group photo celebrating the project’s strong team spirit.
On April 9, the consortium joined the MECFS Lines team for a joint science day featuring expert talks on gut-induced autoimmunity, amyloid blood markers, microbiome research in ME/CFS, and advanced immunoprofiling, along with a poster session showcasing work by PhD students and postdocs.
